The absolute massive extended thump that's a signature to Radiotron Amplifiers is not possible without Excursion. Proprietary to Radiotron Engineering, Excursion involves many parts - including a custom order inductor from Mercury Magnetics. The louder you crank on the master the more this circuit does what you expect. It pairs wonderfully with the optional low mid/high mid presence so that your low mids are tapered exactly how you want them to be.

Adds a contour knob to the contour switch to allow fine adjustment to how much contour adjustment you want. This brings in the highs and reduces the lows for a more balanced sound Combined with the NFB you can customize the high and low end response to your liking. The NFB control tends to bring in highs and high mids without touching the low end. This provides the opposite of cutting lows and low mids which entices more bite and balance allowing better control at any gain or volume level.

What if you could have any bright capacitor value you want and also be able to adjust its value to your liking using only one one single simple knob? The Infinite Bright Capacitor is a proprietary feature to Radiotron Engineering and lets you dial in the exact sonic gain boost you desire without having to touch the tone stack to compensate for undesired frequency shelving.
Top end detail on top of the notes. Ever wanted more detail on your presence control at low volume but reduced top end detail when at band volumes to reduce ice pick? Have a dark guitar that needs more help? This feature allows you to switch on or off to your desired volume level and guitar.
Adds aggressive mids and increased gain using zener diodes. This is not Jose or anywhere close to the master volume control. Volume is actually louder with them installed, not reduced.
This allows you to turn off the diode clipping for all natural gain and a more scooped sound or turn them on for increased gain and better behaved mid character as well as more aggression. Turning this off scoops the mids, tames the highs, and enunciates the lows with all natural gain. Enabling it adds bite, perceived gain, and balances the mids.
(Requires DC heaters upgrade for relay switching)
Switch between SLO or Marshall mids voicing. The SLO voicing makes solo notes really come alive with more mids while the Marshall voicing is more scooped with more low end.
Adjusts how efficient the Excursion circuit handles highs. Recommended for the more pronounced aggressive gain structure option.
